SUGGESTIONS FOR APPLICATION OF RUBBER GROUND TILING

Here, there are some suggestions for maintaining appropriate conditions during flooring process of the ground. For detailed information about flooring, it is needed to get into contact with related firm.

1 - Evaluation of the Ground That Rubber Will Be Applied

In order to use rubber ground tiles appropriately and for a long life of it; the surface (ground) that it will be applied should be flat, smooth and completely purified from humidity. Otherwise, the firm is suggested to take immediate precautions against it. The following problems should not exist the surface that flooring will be applied:

• Ruined ground surface
• Cracks on the surface that flooring will be applied
• Humidty of the ground (Min. %78 RH)
• Ground containing several holes and rough surface
• Surfaces get dirty by matters such as oil, polish, paint, etc.
• Irregularities that forms attitude differences on junction points

2 - Stickers That Will Be Used in Application Process

Quality of stickers differs according to the conditions of the ground. Before application process, a close examination of the ground is seggested in order to decide which type of sticker will be used. First, rubber ground coverings should brought to the place that they will be applied and sometime should pass for them to adapt to that place. Temperature of the ground should be at minimum. 15°C and relative humidity of the place should be 65%. Before sticking process, square tiles should ve paved to the place and it shuld be decided from where the reminings will be cut. It is suggested to cut the reminings in preparation period, before the application of sticker. Afterwards a center shuld be fixed, square tiles should be gathered together by numbering and sticking process should start.

3 - Sticking Process

• For applying the sticker, please use a drag of TKB A2, 1,5 mm X 5 mm or alike it. Please pay attention to regulations written on the sticker. Please do not forget to change the drag and the tip of cutting knife as it gets old.
• During flooring process, please do not stretch corners and do not apply any pressure.
• Please be sure if the sticker is applied on all back surfaces of square tiles.
• Before flooring square tiles, please pay attention to he sticker not to be dry. Otherwise, the sticker will not spread equally on the back surfaces of square tiles.
• Square tiles that are fixed, should be stuck well on the ground with a cork spatula that will not damage the surface, attention should be paid in order not to leave any air bubbles between the square tile and ground. After the sticking process of all ground has been completed, the ground should be fixed by a special roll. During cutting and sticking process, please do not let materials to be exposed to direct sunlight. If you are compelled, please definitely ask advice of sticker supplier firm. Please use a special type of sticker for the applications on wet grounds.
